As I was coming back to pick up Ashton from my teeth cleaning Ashton wasn't really paying attention to the fact I was in the room. He was looking at the TV while Tom was doing Pilaties. Reese and Riley were talking to me and Linda was commenting on how well Ashton whips around the furniture, etc. I had JUST said "It's funny when he forgets what he's doing and lets go and will stand there for a few seconds up to a half minute then realizes what he's doing and falls..." as soon as I said that he saw me and was BESIDE himself with excitement and took two deliberate unassisted steps to me! ALL of us saw it happen! Thrilled to bits none more so than Reese I think.

Wow, we may have a walker here soon! Wasn't he just learning to crawl?

OMG! Yesterday while I was trying to get Ashton to stop fixating on the power cords of my laptop I looked around my monitor and that turkey wasn't holding onto anything!

Linda happened to call when this was going on and he did it again!

This just was on the heals of him chasing Reese and Riley up the stairs {don't worry, I was right there behind him} and they were howling with laughter. As soon as Scott got home Riley told him "Ashton was a little crazy today!"

WOW, I can't believe that Ashton is 9 MONTHS OLD today!

I took Riley and Ashton to their final swim lesson for the session and summer until this fall. I was SO proud of Ashton as with about 10 minutes left of class he BLEW BUBBLES IN THE WATER!! I had been working with him for the last 5 classes and by this class he did it!!!! The instructor came over and was SO impressed and made mention "even some of my Level 1's don't do it that well!" AND we've been working on him "jumping" into the water from the side, and he's fallen in by leaning forward two weeks ago, but today he did it CONSISTANTLY!!! I was one proud mamma.

I was a bit bummed I have no photos of this glorious event, but Scott was at home with Reese to give her one more day to recuperate from a stomach bug.
 

9 Month Well-Check

Ashton has his well check, along with Riley's 3 year check, this morning. Ashton is doing great! He's a BIG ol' boy...

Weight: 22 lb 2 oz
Height: 29 inches
Head Circ: 19 inches

No shots were today, so it was all good for Ashton at least! He's due back after he turns 1.... which is all too soon!!!
