Enough is Enough.

Well, after doing some research online and no sleep for the last two nights, Ashton DOES NOT have thrush. I can wash it off with a damp rag and the Nystatin definitely was messing with Ashton's sleep habits, not sure how, but he was doing awesome until he was on this regiment.

Thank goodness that Linda has been able to help with taking Reese to preschool and bringing both girls home, I'm whipped. Scott gets home tomorrow evening too.. another nice thing since he's been away all week in Kansas City.

Other than the sleep deal, Ashton has been a gem! He's still very easy going and loves to continue to pee on me... I still have no clue WHY, but he knows when I'm there. I joke that he must be marking his territory!

Mail Day!

I'm excited that my milk bank stuff came today! Different containers, not the Medela bottles because apparently they couldn't keep up with the Milk Bank's demand, but they have these other containers that I can easily dump into it, so not a problem what so ever... and easy to thaw if I need to.

I still have a bunch of paperwork to fill out and then do bloodwork once I have 100 or more oz saved up.

Just thrilled I can do this again!

Is It or Isn't It?

With all the talk of thrush in my playgroup it had me freaked out and I took Ashton in today because he has a white tongue. After Dr. K looked into his mouth, and even discussed it with his wife who is a Doctor as well, they both said "maybe he does, maybe he doesn't" but we're both on some medication... 1 topical for me and 1 suspension for Ashton as a preventative. Dr. K tried to scrap off the white stuff on Ashton's tongue and only got a little and it could or couldn't be milk residue, but again, he wanted to be safe. He even called his wife, who also practices and see's more women, and she said to just do the preventative as well. It hasn't moved to his gums or cheeks, or even me.... but we may have just caught it in the early stages.

I've NEVER had it, nor has Reese or Riley, but Ashton's tongue had a nice coating of white on it, and I had 3 girls at playgroup look at his tongue and they too said it looked like it, but may as well take him to the peds.

Hopefully this will do the trick, hearing April's story and I know one of my friend's was on 2 different antibiotics for 2 months I want to nip it in the butt. Thank god I haven't done bottles yet, I'd have to sterilize everything a billion times a day, at least this is just 3 pacifiers and I picked up some new Advent nursing pads at Target that are supposed to breath better, let's hope!

And OMG, he's 10 lb as nekkid as the day he was born! I knew he was getting heavy!

BUT GOD FREAKING LORD ON GETTING THE TWO PRESCRIPTIONS FILLED!

The prescription got called in at roughly 2:50PM.... Linda was very kind to let Reese and Riley nap at her house while I took Ashton in that I figured that by the time I got there, 2 hours later, that it would be an easy walk in and get it..... NO... when I got there it was at least another 1 1/2 hour WAIT!!! So I had Tessa call over to my RiteAid 3 blocks from my house.... however, I thought it was SOUTH Main, no it was NORTH main..... SOUTH main was 30 minutes on the other side of town, and THEY hadn't received it yet.... HOLY CRAP.... so another 45 minutes sitting in the van at the drive through waiting for everything to get sorted Reese and Riley were gems watching Finding Nemo for the 100000th time, and I tossed back a few double stuffed cookies to them as a treat... yes, I did throw them. Then Ashton, OMG, poor thing... I don't knwo WHAT was up with him today, he slept MAYBE 1 hour total.... ALL.DAY. He's currently passed out in the swing before I get him up to take a bath and nurse..... I nursed him for at least 20 minutes in the van while waiting, I'm sure the security cams got some good shots. BUT what's funny is that my babysitter was working there!! We chatted through the bullet proof glass.

Finally my prescrip was ready and it was so trying I went to Popeyes to get some chicken and red beans and rice for dinner.....

NOW, to just reaffirm that I am the freaking DEAL QUEEN.... I got to Dr. K's a bit early, like 15 minutes before i needed to, CVS is 2 blocks up, so I figured since Ashton was up anyway we'd just walk around to kill time instead of sitting in Dr. K's office. I moseyed over to the summer clearance section..... ladies and gents... let me just say that everything WITH TAX,$26.57... and it says right on my receipts, savings of, BEFORE taxes, of $78.92!!! I even got a $2.00 off coupon for the second order of more toys for birthday and christmas gifts for friends and family.

THEN, I went to Target to get my nursing pads, I found some really cute Halloween socks, hat, shirt, frame and blanket in the $1.00 section! BUT, I got a hat, 2 swimmer diapers, 1 swim trunk, 1 swim shirt for $11.90 and a savings of $18.09!! I got 1 pair of swim diapers in XL to carry him into the winter swim lessons!

So yeah, earlier this afternoon freaking ruled, but I guess the prescription thing was the Universe's way of evening things out.

Human Milk Bank

(2 weeks 6 days)

I called my Milk Bank in Columbus, already got everything ready to rock and roll as my stuff is being shipped out first thing monday morning!

The same gal who I did everything through with Riley was so happy to hear that I was planning on donating again! Just need to find more time to pump, but it's only been 3 weeks, but I'm happy that I have just about 15 oz already frozen! I was also SO happy to hear that things are going so well for the milk bank! Diane said that they've spent $0 on marketing but sent out over 2100 oz of milk this year!

I told her that I had given my information to my L&D wing when I was PG with Reese as well as to my midwife's office when I had Riley. Just such an awesome thing to do if you can do it, and are willing to do it.

If you are intersetd in donating check out, http://www.hmbana.org also found in my links page.
